THINKING MU wool sweater THREE LAMBS in fine merino wool
A wool sweater with three little lambs on it? Yes. Sometimes a design is just perfect from start to finish.
The THREE LAMBS by THINKING MU is a dark blue women's sweater made of fine merino wool, featuring three happily leaping lambs on the front. The deep green cuffs, the green landscape at the bottom, and the graphic blocks along the sleeves complete the design.
Quirky and playful, but still very wearable thanks to the calm colors. Because a sweater with lambs doesn't automatically mean you look like you're on your way to a petting zoo.

Three lambs in full stride
On the front, three wool-white lambs leap across the dark blue sweater. Not neatly in a row, but enthusiastically over and past each other. It gives the sweater movement and a wonderfully mischievous character.
At the bottom, there is a dark green, slightly wavy strip that looks like a landscape. As if the lambs have just decided that standing quietly in the pasture is highly overrated.
Along the outside of the sleeves, there is a graphic pattern with small light blocks. This keeps the design interesting from the side as well. The back is mostly a calm dark blue, with another subtle green strip at the bottom. Plenty to see on the front, calm on the back. Very sensible of those sheep.
Dark blue, wool white, and dark green
The colors make this striking sweater surprisingly easy to combine. The base is deep dark blue, and the lambs are executed in a soft wool-white to light gray tone. The ribbed neck, wide hem, and cuffs are dark green.
That dark green also returns in the landscape below the lambs. This makes the design feel like a cohesive whole and prevents the sweater from looking motley or childish. The result is playful, graphic, and a little bit nostalgic.
The design is knitted in
The lambs and graphic details are knitted into the sweater and are not just a smooth print on top of the material. Up close, you can see the different yarn colors and the structure of the knit. That gives the design more depth and makes the sweater much more beautiful than a simple printed picture.
A knitted pattern does require a little care. Be careful with sharp zippers, belts, jewelry, and bags with rough buckles. They can snag on the yarn. Preventing a snag is easier than having to chase after a runaway lamb with a darning needle later.
Fine merino wool
The THREE LAMBS is made of fine merino wool. Merino wool consists of finer fibers than many coarser wool types, making it feel more supple and soft.
Wool holds air between the fibers, providing pleasant warmth without the sweater necessarily having to be heavy. At the same time, wool can absorb and release moisture. This helps regulate your temperature and ensures that a wool sweater feels less clammy than many fully synthetic sweaters.
This sweater feels soft, but how wool is experienced on the skin remains personal. Are you very sensitive to wool? Then wear a soft cotton or wool-silk shirt underneath. You can, of course, also come to our store to feel and try it on first. That’s what a real store is for.
Fit and sizing advice
This sweater runs relatively small. It does not have an oversized fit and is somewhat tighter around the body and arms. It is also not an extra-long model: the wide ribbed hem falls approximately around the top of the hip.
Do you like your sweaters to fit snugly and do you clearly fall within one size? Then you can choose your usual size. Are you between sizes, do you have a fuller bust, broad shoulders, or do you want to wear a shirt underneath easily? Then choose a size larger.
When in doubt, we wouldn't optimistically size down. A lamb can be a bit cramped in the pasture; you don't have to be in your sweater.
How to style the THREE LAMBS
Because of the dark blue base, you can combine this wool sweater very easily. The design does enough on its own, so the rest of your outfit can remain nice and quiet.
-
With dark blue trousers: this creates a calm tone-on-tone combination where the lambs stand out even more.
-
With jeans: dark denim makes the sweater cool and casual.
-
With green: dark green or olive-colored trousers nicely pick up the color of the trim.
-
With wool white: ecru trousers or a skirt match the color of the lambs.
-
With a white shirt: let a small edge of a white T-shirt peek out above the round neck and below the hem, as shown in the photo.
-
With corduroy: combine the sweater with dark blue, brown, or green corduroy for a warm autumn look.
The sweater looks good with straight or slightly looser trousers. The relatively short, narrower model also combines well with trousers or a skirt with a higher waist.
You don't have to wash wool all the time
Fortunately, a wool sweater doesn't need to go in the wash after every wear. Merino wool can absorb a lot of moisture and picks up odors less quickly than many synthetic materials. After wearing, hang the sweater out to air, preferably outside or by an open window.
Often, airing out is enough to freshen up the sweater. Washing less is better for the wool, the knitted design, and the fit. Moreover, it saves water, energy, and a lot of unnecessary stress next to the washing machine.
How to wash this merino wool sweater
Always check the wash label in the sweater first. Only wash wool when absolutely necessary and use a special wool detergent. We recommend our own Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. This mild detergent was developed for wool clothing and helps keep the wool soft and supple.
- Wash the sweater inside out.
- Choose a cold hand wash or follow the wool program specified on the wash label.
- Use a small amount of Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin.
- Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener.
- Do not soak the sweater for a long time.
- Avoid large temperature differences between washing and rinsing.
