All about this product

THINKING MU wool cable knit sweater RASTA GREEN in extra-fine merino

Check out that mélange! The RASTA GREEN by THINKING MU is a wonderfully rich cable knit sweater for men, knitted from 100% extra-fine merino wool. Different shades of green run through the yarn, giving the sweater beautiful depth. Fresh green from a distance, nicely variegated when you take a closer look.

And then there's the knitting. Cables, diamonds, and various structures run across the front, the sleeves, and the back. This makes for plenty of visual interest, while the green color keeps the sweater easy to combine. Warm, rugged, and a lot more interesting than the umpteenth smooth-knitted men's pullover.

Why the RASTA GREEN is such a beautiful sweater

  • Made of 100% extra-fine merino wool
  • Mega soft and comfortable
  • Rich, variegated green tone
  • Cables, diamonds, and different knitting structures
  • The pattern continues across the front, sleeves, and back
  • Round neck
  • Long sleeves
  • Ribbed cuffs at the neck, sleeves, and hem
  • Straight regular fit
  • Fits true to size to slightly small
  • Choose the larger size if in doubt
  • Small THINKING MU label at the bottom
  • For men

That green mélange makes it

The RASTA GREEN isn't just solid green. Various green nuances are incorporated into the yarn, giving the color much more depth. You see fresh, dark, and slightly lighter green shades mixed together. It is precisely this mélange that ensures the elaborate cable pattern is beautifully visible.

The result is a green men's sweater that stands out without being loud. It brings color to your winter wardrobe, but is just as easy to pull on as a dark blue or gray sweater. For men who are open to some green, as long as it doesn't immediately scream "Christmas tree."

A cable pattern from front to back

With this sweater, THINKING MU didn't stop halfway through the knitting process. The elaborate knitting pattern continues across almost the entire sweater.

On the front, different cables are alternated with diamond-shaped motifs and other knitted structures. The sleeves and back are also extensively worked. This gives the RASTA a rich, almost artisanal look and makes the sweater interesting from every angle.

The ribbed round neck, cuffs, and hem provide a nice finish and help the sweater maintain its shape. At the bottom, there is a small dark THINKING MU label as a subtle detail.

Mega soft extra-fine merino wool

The RASTA is made of extra-fine merino wool. Merino wool consists of finer fibers than many coarser types of wool and therefore feels more supple and softer. This is truly the kind of sweater you want to pet when walking past the rack. Perfectly normal behavior at Natur-el.

Merino wool is warm without becoming unnecessarily heavy or stiff. Wool can hold a lot of air between the fibers and helps regulate your body temperature. This makes this cable knit sweater wonderful during cold days, but it also remains pleasant when you walk from outside into a heated room.

How wool feels on the skin is, of course, a personal matter. Extra-fine merino feels much softer than classic, coarser wool, but every skin reacts differently. Are you very sensitive to wool? Then wear a soft cotton or wool-silk shirt underneath, or come and try on the sweater with us first.

Fit and sizing advice

The RASTA has a straight regular fit. It is not overly loose, but also not tight. The length is quite classic and the ribbed hem falls approximately at the hip.

The sweater fits true to size to slightly small. Are you between two sizes, do you have broad shoulders, or do you like wearing a sweater a bit looser? Then choose the larger size.

After all, THINKING MU is a Spanish brand, and Spanish centimeters sometimes behave a little more modestly than Dutch ones. If you want to wear the sweater fitted, you can choose your usual size. If you want some extra room, for example, to wear a shirt underneath, take one size larger.

How to style the RASTA GREEN

The variegated green tone combines surprisingly easily. In the photo, the model wears the sweater with dark, loose-fitting jeans. That is immediately a very good combination: simple, rugged, and the rich knitting pattern gets all the attention.

  • Everyday: wear the sweater with dark jeans and sneakers or leather shoes.
  • Neater: combine it with dark blue or anthracite-colored trousers.
  • With a shirt: let a white or light blue collar subtly protrude above the round neck.
  • Autumnal: combine the green mélange with brown, rust-colored, or sand-colored corduroy trousers.
  • Ton-sur-ton: wear it with dark olive-colored trousers.

Due to the distinct knitting structure, the sweater needs little embellishment. Good trousers, nice shoes, and you're done. Saves a whole meeting in front of the wardrobe in the morning.

You don't have to wash wool all the time

Wool has natural dirt- and odor-resistant properties. This means you have to wash this sweater much less often than, for example, a cotton sweater. Hang it out to air after wearing it. Often it will be fresh enough for the next wear after that.

Washing less often is better for the merino wool, the color, and the shape of the sweater. A wool cable knit sweater usually isn't made happier by a weekly trip through the washing machine.

How to wash the RASTA GREEN

  • Always check the wash label in the sweater first.
  • Only wash the sweater when absolutely necessary.
  • Use a cold and gentle wool wash program or wash carefully by hand.
  • Choose a low spin speed and avoid strong temperature changes.
  • Use a small amount of Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin.
  • Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener.
  • Do not let the sweater soak for a long time.
  • Do not wring, scrub, or rub hard.
  • Gently reshape the sweater after washing.
  • Let it dry flat on a dry towel.
  • Do not put it in the dryer and do not place it on or against a heater.
  • Store the sweater preferably lying flat so it doesn't stretch on a hanger.

For woolen clothing, we recommend our own Lanalicious wool detergent. This mild wool detergent contains lanolin and has been specially developed for the careful washing of, among other things, merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, and wool-silk.

What do you do if the sweater starts to pill?

With natural wool, small fluff or balls can occur over time. This happens especially in places where there is a lot of friction, such as under the arms, along the sides, or where a jacket, backpack, or shoulder bag rubs against the sweater.

Pilling does not mean the wool is of poor quality. They are loose fibers that come to the surface due to movement and form small balls there. Especially a new wool sweater can shed some extra fibers at the beginning.

With the Gleener fabric shaver, you can carefully remove those pills without pulling on the wool. Choose the right attachment, lay the sweater flat, and work calmly without pressing hard. If in doubt, try the Gleener first on an inconspicuous spot.

Preferably do not use a cheap razor blade. One enthusiastic stroke and you suddenly have a cable knit sweater with a ventilation hole. That was not the intention.

Frequently asked questions about the THINKING MU RASTA GREEN

What is the RASTA GREEN made of?

The sweater is made of 100% extra-fine merino wool. The wool feels supple and remarkably soft and provides fine warmth without the sweater becoming unnecessarily heavy.

How does this sweater fit?

The RASTA has a regular fit and fits true to size to slightly small. Are you in doubt between two sizes, do you have broad shoulders, or do you like to wear it a bit looser? Then choose the larger size.

Does extra-fine merino wool itch?

Extra-fine merino wool generally feels much softer than coarser wool. This sweater is therefore mega soft. How wool feels on the skin remains personal, so with sensitive skin, we recommend trying it on first or wearing it over a soft shirt.

Is the color solid green?

No, and that's the beauty of it. Various green nuances are incorporated into the yarn. This creates a lively mélange and gives the cable pattern extra depth.

Is the cable pattern only on the front?

No. The various cables, diamonds, and knitting structures also continue across the sleeves and the back. The RASTA is therefore beautifully knitted from all sides.

Can I wash this merino sweater in the washing machine?

Always follow the wash label in the sweater. If machine washing is allowed, use only a cold wool wash program, a low spin speed, and a suitable wool detergent with lanolin. Let the sweater dry flat afterward.

What can I do about pills?

Pills and small balls can be carefully removed with the Gleener fabric shaver. Lay the sweater flat, choose the appropriate attachment, and use little pressure.

Can I wear the sweater over a shirt?

Certainly. Just keep in mind that the RASTA is not oversized. If you want enough room for a shirt, the larger size might be more comfortable.

Wol is fantastisch

And just like that, you were gone!

Was koud of lauw
