This is one of those turtlenecks you’ll be thinking about in October: why didn’t I just buy two of these? The LIA by RECOLUTION is a lovely, striped women's turtleneck made from organic cotton. It’s beautifully fitted, nice and stretchy, and thin enough to wear under anything. And those stripes? They instantly make even a simple pair of black trousers a lot more fun.

We have the LIA in two colors: PLUM and CHOCOLATE. Plum is a bit softer and purplish, while Chocolate is a warm brown with black. Both are very easy to combine – and definitely not boring.

Above all, it’s just so incredibly easy. The LIA has a high collar, long sleeves, and a fine ribbed texture with horizontal stripes. It is made of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. This gives it the feel of cotton, but with plenty of comfortable stretch.

How does the RECOLUTION LIA turtleneck fit?

The LIA is truly intended as a fitted turtleneck. Not a loose top, then: it follows your body, which is part of this design. Thanks to the 3% elastane, there is stretch in the fabric.

If you want to wear it the way RECOLUTION intended, we would simply choose your own size. If you don't like fitted clothing and want a bit more room, you can potentially choose a size larger.

How do you style this striped women's turtleneck?

You really don’t need to overcomplicate things here. Jeans underneath, done. Wide-leg trousers, also good. Skirt, perfect. And it’s absolutely great under a cardigan or blazer.

Precisely because the LIA is fitted, you can also easily wear it as a layering piece. Under a chunky wool cardigan, for example, or under a sleeveless vest where you can still see the striped sleeves and collar. It’s the kind of garment you’ll reach for again and again throughout autumn and winter.

What is the difference between LIA Plum and Chocolate?

We have this striped turtleneck in two colorways. Plum has a muted purplish tint combined with dark stripes. Chocolate is the warmer variant with brown and black stripes.

Plum looks beautiful with navy, denim, grey, and burgundy. Chocolate, on the other hand, combines very easily with black, cream, camel, olive green, and of course various shades of brown.

What is the RECOLUTION LIA made of?

The LIA consists of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. The cotton is GOTS-certified. That certification sets requirements for both the processing of organic fibers and for environmental and social criteria during production.

The turtleneck is also vegan and is produced fairly in Turkey.

How do you wash a turtleneck made of organic cotton?

Always wash the LIA according to the wash label and preferably inside out. Do not use too much detergent and remove it from the machine immediately after washing. That helps prevent unnecessary creases and wash lines.

And a little Natur-el tip: clothing really doesn't need to go into the washing machine after every wear. Giving it a quick airing out is often enough. Better for your clothes and you have less laundry. Win-win.
