How does the KOMODO RIO fit?
The RIO has a regular fit and sits comfortably around the body. It is spacious enough to wear over a blouse, T-shirt, or thin sweater, but is not immediately huge or oversized. The straight shoulders and coarse knit structure give it a cool, slightly roomy look.
In principle, choose your usual size. Do you want to wear it primarily over thicker sweaters or do you like a generous layered look? Then you could try a size larger. If you prefer to wear the slipover a bit neater and closer to the body, just choose your own size.
How do you style a dark blue wool slipover?
A slipover is ideal for days when a full wool sweater is just a bit too warm, but just a blouse or shirt feels a bit too optimistic. Wear the RIO over a white T-shirt with jeans for a relaxed daily outfit. With a blouse, dress pants, and boots, it immediately gets a dressier look.
NAVY combines beautifully with denim, ecru, grey, camel, olive green, and burgundy. And those who aren't afraid of color can, of course, wear a striped or brightly colored blouse underneath. A bit of flair under your wool never hurts.
Warm without restricted arms

This makes the RIO particularly suitable for indoors, during spring and autumn, or as an extra layer under a spacious coat. Lambswool is warm, breathable, and resilient. It is genuine wool, however, and can therefore feel firmer than, for example, merino wool or alpaca. How wool feels on the skin is personal. With a slipover, this is fortunately easy to solve: you're wearing something underneath it anyway.
How to keep the RIO looking beautiful
You don't need to wash wool after every wear. Hang the slipover outside regularly to freshen it up and then give it some rest in the closet. Is washing still necessary? Then follow the care label and wash the RIO cool by hand. Use a small amount of Lanalicious wool detergent. The lanolin helps keep the wool soft and supple.

Pilling on your wool slipover?
Friction can cause small pills (bobbles) to form on wool clothing, for example, under the arms or along the edges of the pockets. This is part of wool and says nothing about the quality. With a Gleener fabric shaver, you can remove them carefully, and the RIO will look well-groomed again.

Actually, it’s exactly in between. The RIO is sleeveless like a slipover, but has a button closure and pockets like a cardigan. You can therefore wear it both open and closed.

Can the RIO go in the washing machine?
KOMODO recommends a cool hand wash. This reduces the risk of shrinking and felting. Always check the sewn-in care label before washing.
