Harley of Scotland Oribe Blue – Fair Isle classic in pure lambswool

What a fresh color combination! The Oribe Blue from Harley of Scotland is a women's Fair Isle sweater with a beautiful blue base and a pattern of fresh yellow, white, and green. The result is a cheerful yet stylish sweater that you can easily wear from autumn through spring.

Sustainable lambswool

This sweater is knitted from 100% pure lambswool, always mulesing-free, just like all sweaters from Harley of Scotland. Lambswool is super soft, warm, and breathable. This makes the Oribe Blue wonderful to wear – on cold winter days as well as in a fresh spring week. Furthermore, the wool is durable and sturdy, so you can enjoy it for years to come.

Fit & sizing advice

The sweater runs somewhat large. When in doubt, it is better to choose a size smaller. In the photo, I am wearing a size L, which is comfortable and slightly loose. I normally wear a size 40 (EU) in tops.

How to wear it?

  • Casual: with jeans and sneakers for a fresh look.
  • Classic: with a skirt and boots, incorporating the colors of the pattern into your accessories.
  • Outdoors: under a jacket or gilet – the wool keeps you wonderfully warm.

Washing & care

You almost never need to wash wool – letting it air out outside often works better. Still need a wash? Use a cold or wool cycle and a little Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. Let the sweater dry flat, never in the dryer. Wool can pill, but that is normal. With the Gleener, you can safely remove them and your sweater will look like new.

Wol is fantastisch

En dit is waarom:

Wol is een natuurlijk materiaal dat heerlijk warm aanvoelt en tegelijkertijd juist goed ademt. Het helpt je lichaamstemperatuur op een fijne manier in balans te houden, zodat je het minder snel te warm of te koud krijgt. Daarnaast kan wol veel vocht opnemen zonder klam aan te voelen, wat het extra comfortabel maakt. Door de natuurlijke eigenschappen blijft wol vaak langer fris, waardoor je het minder vaak hoeft te wassen. Ook is wol sterk, veerkrachtig en gaat het bij goed onderhoud jarenlang mee. Het is dus niet alleen fijn om te dragen, maar ook een mooie, duurzame keuze.

Was koud of lauw

Was wol altijd voorzichtig koud of op maximaal 30 graden, ALTIJD met een wolwasprogramma. Wol krimpt bij temperatuurswisselingen, deze heb je niet bij een wolwasprogramma. Let op, wolwas programma is en essentie anders dan het handwasprogramma!

Gebruik wolwasmiddel

Kies altijd een mild wolwasmiddel en vermijd gewone wasmiddelen, omdat die de wolvezel kunnen beschadigen.

Niet wringen of slepen

Behandel wol rustig, laat het niet zwaar uithangen als het nat is. Wring de wol nooit uit. Druk het water er voorzichtig uit en laat het kledingstuk plat drogen op een handdoek.

Luchten is het beste!

In principe volstaat luchten ook. Was alleen als het echt nodig is!
