GIVN chino HELGE in organic cotton flannel
Smart trousers that are just as comfortable as the pair you actually prefer wearing at home: that is the GIVN HELGE. These men's trousers are made of soft, 100% organic cotton flannel and feature a relaxed fit that is roomy without being overly wide.
The classic waistband, belt loops, and zip-and-button closure give HELGE the look of a chino. There is elastic at the back of the waistband, which makes the trousers move with you more comfortably and prevents them from suddenly negotiating for extra room after lunch.

Cotton flannel, not wool
Many people automatically associate flannel with wool, but flannel refers to the soft, slightly brushed finish of the fabric. HELGE is made of 100% organic cotton and therefore contains no wool.
The flannel fabric feels warmer and softer than a smooth cotton chino. This makes these trousers particularly pleasant during autumn and winter, and on cool spring days. You get the cozy feel of flannel, but in a pair of trousers that you can also simply wear to work or dinner.
Roomy without being huge
HELGE has a regular fit. The trousers fall in a relaxed way around the hips and legs, but are not so wide that you feel like you're entering a separate room with each pant leg. The legs taper gently downwards and give the trousers a modern, loose shape.
The waist sits at a normal height. At the front, HELGE has a classic chino closure with a button and zip. The elastic section at the back provides extra comfort and ensures the waistband moves better with you.
Thanks to the belt loops, you can also wear HELGE with a belt. This way, the trousers combine the convenience of an elastic waist with the groomed appearance of regular dress trousers or chinos.
BROWN or ANTHRACITE?
BROWN is a deep, calm shade of brown. Warm and just a bit different from blue, gray, or black, but still very easy to combine. Beautiful with cream, dark blue, green, rust, beige, and actually anything that has an autumnal, cozy feel.
ANTHRACITE is a dark, melange shade of gray that goes with almost everything. Slightly softer than black, making it easy to wear both smartly and sportily.
Combine HELGE with a shirt or a fine-knit sweater for a groomed outfit, or wear them with a sweatshirt, fleece vest, or chunky knit for a more relaxed look.

The measurements below were taken in centimeters while the trousers were laid flat. The hip width and hem width are therefore flat measurements and not full body circumferences.

For the best size advice, you can lay a pair of trousers that fit well flat and measure them in the same places. Keep in mind that the back of the waistband is elastic and therefore has some give.
Organic cotton with GOTS certification
The cotton in HELGE is organically grown. Furthermore, the trousers are GOTS-certified under number CU 1094696. The Global Organic Textile Standard sets requirements not only for the use and processing of organic fibers but also for environmentally hazardous substances and social conditions within the production chain.
While a quality label doesn't make a new pair of trousers completely impact-free, GOTS does provide more control over the origin and processing of the cotton and the conditions under which the product is made.
Fairly made in Portugal
HELGE is produced in Paredes, Portugal. By keeping production within Europe, GIVN can work more closely with the manufacturer and keep production chains more transparent.
The trousers are also designated as PETA-Approved Vegan. This means that no components of animal origin have been used for this product.
How to care for cotton flannel
Wash HELGE only when necessary and always check the care label beforehand. Turn the trousers inside out and use a mild detergent. This keeps the soft surface of the flannel looking good for longer and protects the color better.
Preferably let the trousers air dry. High temperatures and frequent use of the dryer can cause cotton to shrink and wear out the soft flannel finish more quickly. Simply hanging them up is also often enough if the trousers just need a little refreshing.
