A small, round candle holder with a big impact
This is one of those candle holders where you think: oh, it's just a little thing. Until you put a beautiful dinner candle in it and suddenly your entire table feels cozier. This round soapstone candle holder is low, sturdy, colorful, and handmade. It is exactly the kind of accessory that doesn't shout, but immediately creates an atmosphere.
The shape is simple and beautiful: round, compact, and slightly organic. The cheerful colors and hand-painted pattern give it real character. Place it on the dining table, on a small cabinet, on the windowsill, or next to a stack of books. Done. We don't need any more styling stress than that.
Why you will want this candle holder
This candle holder is made from 100% soapstone. Soapstone naturally feels smooth, cool, and solid. Because of its compact size, approximately 2 cm high and 7 cm in diameter, it takes up little space, yet stands very firmly.
What makes it extra special is that every holder is unique. Because they are handmade and hand-painted, colors, patterns, and small details can vary slightly. And that is exactly what makes it so charming. Not a perfect factory copy, but a small piece of craftsmanship that has truly been handled by human hands.
Handmade and fair trade
Soapstone, also known as Kisii stone, is mined around Tabaka, in the western Kenyan province of Kisii. It is a soft type of stone that is very suitable for manual crafting. Artisans use it to make beautiful home accessories, including these small candle holders.
The stone is first shaped with chisels and files. Then the product is polished with water and sand, hand-painted, and finally rubbed with oil so that the colors stand out beautifully. You can see that process in the final result: smooth, sturdy, colorful, and just a little different with every piece.
By choosing fair trade handicrafts, you support the professionals behind the product. So you are not just bringing a cozy candle holder into your home, but also a fairer story. And that is exactly what we at Natur-el think is the point.
A sustainable gift that is always appropriate
Are you looking for a small gift that isn't boring? Then this candle holder is a really nice choice. Great for a birthday, a housewarming, a thank-you, a Christmas table, or just for someone who could use a little extra light.
What I often notice in the store: these types of small handmade gifts are picked up immediately. People turn them around for a moment, feel the weight, look at the colors, and then it's already a done deal. Because yes, this is just much nicer than a standard candle holder without a story.
Please note: supplied without a candle
Good to know: this candle holder is supplied without a candle. In the photo, you see it with a dinner candle, but you can choose which candle you put in it yourself. Always check that the candle is straight and firmly positioned in the holder.
Place the holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never leave a burning candle unattended. Coziness is great, but we like to keep it safe.
Use and care
Soapstone is a natural material and the paint is applied by hand. Clean the holder with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents, as they won't improve the colors.
It is best not to leave the candle holder in bright direct sunlight or a very damp place for long periods. That way, the colors will remain at their best and you can enjoy this little piece of craftsmanship for a long time.
