We always say: do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a "woolly." But what exactly is a "woolly"? Generally, we mean our wool-silk underwear. However, this could just as easily refer to these leggings, long johns, or long wool underpants made of organic wool. It is best to wear wool underwear directly against your bare skin. Wool is a hollow fiber, which allows it to adopt and insulate your body temperature. Due to the scales, much like your own hair, wool breathes, unlike its synthetic "friends."

These leggings, long johns, or long underpants are made of 100% organic wool

The wool is organic and certified with the IVN Best certificate. This is essentially the best you can find in organic wool. The leggings have a close fit. Wool and wool-silk are extremely stretchy, but they look best when they fit snugly, as that is when the wool can do its job most effectively.

Wool is self-cleaning

In principle, you do not need to wash wool. You take the best care of your wool if you let it rest for 24 hours after wearing it. You can hang your undershirt, shirt, or long-sleeve in the bathroom or outside for a night to air it out. Lanolin enhances this self-cleaning process. When wool becomes slightly damp, it turns a little bit "soapy." It is not unusual not to wash your wool for half a year, but it is important to air it out.
After washing, be sure to pull your shirt into shape lengthwise. If you don't, it may shrink due to the washing process. If you pull your leggings back into shape lengthwise, they will stay nice and long.

Wol is fantastisch

En dit is waarom:

Wol is een natuurlijk materiaal dat heerlijk warm aanvoelt en tegelijkertijd juist goed ademt. Het helpt je lichaamstemperatuur op een fijne manier in balans te houden, zodat je het minder snel te warm of te koud krijgt. Daarnaast kan wol veel vocht opnemen zonder klam aan te voelen, wat het extra comfortabel maakt. Door de natuurlijke eigenschappen blijft wol vaak langer fris, waardoor je het minder vaak hoeft te wassen. Ook is wol sterk, veerkrachtig en gaat het bij goed onderhoud jarenlang mee. Het is dus niet alleen fijn om te dragen, maar ook een mooie, duurzame keuze.

Was koud of lauw

Was wol altijd voorzichtig koud of op maximaal 30 graden, ALTIJD met een wolwasprogramma. Wol krimpt bij temperatuurswisselingen, deze heb je niet bij een wolwasprogramma. Let op, wolwas programma is en essentie anders dan het handwasprogramma!

Gebruik wolwasmiddel

Kies altijd een mild wolwasmiddel en vermijd gewone wasmiddelen, omdat die de wolvezel kunnen beschadigen.

Niet wringen of slepen

Behandel wol rustig, laat het niet zwaar uithangen als het nat is. Wring de wol nooit uit. Druk het water er voorzichtig uit en laat het kledingstuk plat drogen op een handdoek.

Luchten is het beste!

In principe volstaat luchten ook. Was alleen als het echt nodig is!
