ENGEL wool bodywarmer: it’s finally here
What a treat this is. In addition to the wonderful wool fleece jackets from ENGEL Natur, we now have this wool bodywarmer in our collection. And honestly: this has been requested so many times. A bodywarmer that is warm, soft, breathable, doesn't feel synthetically clammy, and also drapes beautifully. Well, bring it on.
This ENGEL bodywarmer is made of 100% organic merino wool fleece and is IVN BEST certified. It is a truly wonderful material. Warm without feeling stifling, soft without feeling heavy, and ideal as an extra layer over your sweater, long-sleeve shirt, blouse, or thin cardigan. It wears like a little cloud, but a nice, sturdy, warm cloud that actually serves a purpose.
We have the bodywarmer in three lovely colors: black, cinnamon, and jade. Black is, of course, the ultimate basic. Cinnamon is warm, soft, and beautiful paired with neutrals, denim, and earth tones. Jade is fresh and unique, but still calm enough to wear often.
Why you want this bodywarmer
A wool bodywarmer is one of those items you only realize the convenience of once you own one. Indoors as an extra layer without having to cram thick sleeves over each other. Outdoors under a jacket for extra warmth. Or over a sweater on one of those days when it’s just a bit too chilly to go without a layer, but a coat already feels like too much.

The bodywarmer fits true to size. If you mainly want to wear it over a thin shirt, wool long-sleeve, or blouse, you can usually choose your normal size. If you want to wear a thicker cardigan or a chunky sweater underneath, then sizing up can be very nice. In the photo, Vera is wearing size 38/40.
Because of its straight, calm design, this is a truly perfect basic. Wear it over an ENGEL wool shirt, a turtleneck, a blouse, or a knitted cardigan. With jeans, it looks nice and casual. With black trousers, it looks a bit more subdued and neat. And with a long skirt, it gets that cozy, warm, layered feel that we at the shop love so much.

This bodywarmer is made of 100% IVN BEST certified organic merino wool. IVN BEST is one of the strictest quality marks in natural textile production. This means the material, processing, environmental impact, and social conditions are scrutinized very critically. Exactly the kind of quality mark we at Natur-el have a lot of confidence in.
Merino wool fleece is warm, breathable, and self-cleaning. This means: don't wash it too often. Really, don't mindlessly toss it in the laundry basket after wearing it once. Often, just airing it out is enough. Hang the bodywarmer by an open window or outside in a dry place overnight, and it usually freshens up on its own.
Does it need to be washed after all? Then always use a wool detergent containing lanolin, such as Lanalicious. Lanolin helps keep wool looking beautiful, supple, and well-conditioned. Wash cold or on a very gentle wool cycle, use a small amount of detergent, and let the bodywarmer dry flat. Do not wring, do not tumble dry, and do not place on the radiator.

Indispensable: the Gleener for your wool fleece
With wool fleece, small bits of fluff or pills can form over time, especially in areas with friction. This is normal for wool and does not mean your bodywarmer is of poor quality.
