ENGEL Natur wool-silk longsleeve for women in natural
This is one of those fine base layers that you'll find yourself reaching for again and again without even thinking about it. The ENGEL Natur wool-silk longsleeve for women is a thin, soft, long-sleeved shirt with a round neck. You can wear it directly against the skin, under a sweater, blouse, or cardigan, but the calm natural color is also nice enough to wear on its own.
The longsleeve is made of 70% organic wool and 30% silk. The wool helps balance your body temperature, and the silk gives the fabric a smoother, more supple feel. The result is a light wool shirt that provides warmth without being heavy or bulky. Very pleasant if you get cold easily, spend a lot of time outdoors, or simply like working with layers.

Soft wool-silk underwear for every season
Wool-silk is ideal when you want the benefits of wool but aren't looking for a thick or very warm base layer. Wool can retain heat and absorb moisture, while silk makes the fabric softer, smoother, and lighter. As a result, this longsleeve feels less substantial and generally slightly less warm than a similar 100% wool shirt.
It is precisely this lighter quality that makes it versatile. In winter, you wear it as a first layer under your clothes. During spring and autumn, it is often enough on its own under a cardigan or jacket. And on cooler summer days, you can easily wear it as a thin shirt. So, there is no need to banish it to a dark corner of your closet after winter.
Most people find wool-silk pleasantly soft, but sensitivity to wool remains a personal matter. If you are very sensitive to fibers on your skin, it is wise to try it on first. Within the range of wool underwear, however, wool-silk is usually the softer and smoother choice.
Natural: calm and easy to combine
The natural version is light, calm, and very easy to wear under other colors. It fits under a blouse, wool sweater, dress, or cardigan and forms a fine base for both light and dark clothing. Because the shirt doesn't look overtly like technical underwear, you can also just wear it as a regular longsleeve.

Fit and sizing advice
The wool-silk shirts from ENGEL Natur have a long, narrow, and fitted cut. This makes this longsleeve very suitable as a base layer: it follows your body and adds little extra volume under your regular clothing. The extra length is useful when you want to tuck the shirt into your trousers or skirt, so it doesn't ride up with every movement and keeps your back covered.
Are you hesitating between two sizes, do you have a larger bust, or do you prefer wearing a shirt a bit looser? Then we recommend the larger size. Wool-silk is stretchy, but this longsleeve is definitely intended as a fitted model.

How to care for this wool-silk longsleeve
Wool does not need to be washed after every wear. After wearing, let the longsleeve air out well, for example in the bathroom or outside in a sheltered spot. Often, that is enough to make it feel fresh again. This saves on washing and is also kinder to the delicate fibers.
If a wash is necessary, wash the shirt on a wool cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees, with a low spin speed and a suitable wool detergent. Preferably use a wool detergent with lanolin. Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener: they are not designed for the care of wool.
Do not wring and do not tumble dry. After washing, gently pull the longsleeve back into shape, especially in terms of length, and let it dry flat. This keeps the shape looking good and prevents the fabric from distorting unnecessarily.
