Washing advice for silk
Fortunately, you don’t have to wash silk often. Simply airing it out is often enough. Do you still want to wash the scarf? Do so very carefully by hand in cold to lukewarm water and use a mild detergent suitable for fine silk. Do not wring, do not scrub, and do not tumble dry. If necessary, gently roll the scarf in a towel to remove excess water and let it dry flat or hanging loosely, out of direct sunlight.
Extra tip: store the scarf folded loosely rather than tightly knotted. This keeps the fabric looking better and prevents unnecessary creases or tension on the fibers.
