The ARMEDANGELS WAARLO CLAY BROWN is a rugged men’s cotton sweater with a short zipper and a stand-up collar. A bit of a sailor’s sweater, a bit of a sweatshirt, and above all: one of those incredibly easy sweaters you pull on in the morning that seems to go with any pair of trousers.

What kind of sweater is the ARMEDANGELS WAARLO?
The WAARLO sits somewhere between a classic sailor’s sweater and a comfortable sweatshirt. And that’s exactly why we like it so much.
The stand-up collar and short zipper give it a polished look, while the soft cotton sweat fabric ensures it never feels stiff or stuffy. Zip up, hands in your pockets, and you’re ready to go. You don’t really need to do anything else.
Also nice: ARMEDANGELS kept the logo very subtle. There is a small tonal embroidery on the chest. No billboard on your belly, just a nice detail.
Why is a half-zip sweater so easy to combine?
Because you can do surprisingly much with that one zipper. Wear the WAARLO half-zip sweater fully zipped with the collar up when it's chilly. Zip it down a little for a more relaxed look, or wear a white or ecru T-shirt underneath and let it show at the neckline.

Yes. This ARMEDANGELS sweater is made of 100% organic cotton. No polyester fleece against your skin, but a comfortable cotton sweat quality.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of conventional synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. For us, how a garment feels and how often you eventually wear it is at least as important. And this is exactly the kind of sweater we expect will be pulled from the pile very often.
Is this cotton sweater warm?
Yes, the WAARLO is clearly warmer than a thin cotton long-sleeve or sweater. The soft interior retains heat nicely, while the cotton remains breathable at the same time.
This makes it ideal for spring and autumn, cool summer evenings, and of course just indoors during winter. Are you looking for warmth but prefer not to wear wool? Then this is a great alternative.
What kind of color is CLAY BROWN?
CLAY BROWN is a deep, dark earthy brown tone. At first glance, almost chocolate brown, but with much more warmth than black.
And brown is surprisingly easy. Combine it with blue jeans as shown in the photos, and you’re basically ready. But CLAY BROWN also looks beautiful with camel, beige, cream, dark green, gray, and black.

How do you wash an organic cotton sweater?
Cotton also stays nice for longer when you don't wash it unnecessarily often or at high temperatures. Airing it out is therefore always a good start.
Does the WAARLO need a wash? Then wash it inside out at a low temperature, close the zipper beforehand, and do not use more detergent than necessary. Try not to overfill your washing machine, and take the sweater out immediately after the cycle ends.
Gently reshape it and let it air dry. We would skip the dryer: nice cotton sweaters generally don't improve with that.
