Wash the shirt inside out at a low temperature and do not use too much detergent. Do not overfill the washing machine so the corduroy fabric can rinse well and wears out less quickly. Remove the shirt from the machine immediately after washing and hang it neatly on a hanger.
It is best not to put corduroy in the dryer. Cotton generally doesn't benefit from it, and the ribbed structure can wear out faster. Iron inside out at a low temperature if necessary, but hanging it up neatly is often enough.
