100% lambswool
Lambswool is soft, warm, and breathable. The fibers help retain heat but can also absorb and release moisture. This makes the wool feel cozy without becoming clammy. Ideal for a layering piece that you want to wear both indoors and outdoors.

Mulesing-free and RWS-certified
The lambswool used is mulesing-free. The painful practice of mulesing is not applied to the sheep from which this wool is sourced.
Furthermore, the wool is certified according to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). This standard sets requirements for animal welfare, the management of the land the sheep live on, and the traceability of the wool through the production chain.
RWS-certified does not automatically mean the wool is organic. We are not making that claim here. However, the label offers independent oversight on key aspects of wool production and the wider supply chain.
Store your wool knits flat
Keep ROMY folded and lying flat in your closet. A knitted vest can slowly stretch out or lose its shape at the shoulders due to its own weight if left on a hanger. Hanging it up briefly while airing it out is fine, but for long-term storage, laying it flat is definitely better.
How to care for your wool sweater vest
Fortunately, you rarely need to wash wool. Let the vest air out after wearing, for instance outside in the shade or in the bathroom. Often, that is enough to freshen up the fibers.
Is washing necessary? Always follow the care label. Use a wool wash program at a low temperature, with low spin, and a small amount of suitable wool detergent. We recommend our LANALICIOUS wool and silk detergent for this. Do not soak the vest, do not wring it out, and let it dry flat in shape.
Pilling is normal for wool
With soft lambswool, small fuzz balls can develop due to friction, for example along the sides or where a bag rubs against the knit. This is a normal characteristic of wool and not a sign of poor quality.
Use a Gleener fabric shaver to gently remove these pills. Lay ROMY flat, hold the knit taut, and use the appropriate fine attachment head. Work slowly and do not press hard.
