What is EcoVero™ twill?
EcoVero™ is a viscose fiber from Lenzing, made from wood sourced from controlled and certified origins. Its production process has a lower environmental impact than conventional viscose.
For BERIT, EcoVero™ has been processed into a twill. This means the fabric has a bit more structure and body than a very thin, smooth viscose. Perfect for a jacket: supple enough to wear comfortably, but sturdy enough to hold its shape well.
What does the peach finish mean?
The EcoVero™ twill has a so-called peach finish. This means the surface of the fabric is treated so it feels very subtly soft, almost a bit velvety – like the skin of a peach.
The result is a fabric that feels less slippery than classic viscose and instead feels a bit softer and warmer. Very nice for a jacket that you will wear a lot in the autumn.
Is BERIT lined?
Yes, and we are happy about that. The inside is lined with organic cotton. This makes the jacket feel pleasant and easy to layer over a long-sleeve top, blouse, or thin sweater.
So, it is not just a thin printed outer layer, but a truly well-finished transitional jacket.
How do you style the BERIT IKAT jacket?
Actually, you just need to pick up one of the colors from the print. Dark blue is the easiest option, but bordeaux, raspberry, pink, and ochre work just as well.
We would wear it, for example:

- over a bordeaux turtleneck with dark trousers;

No, BERIT is not a thick winter coat. Think of it primarily as a transitional jacket for autumn and spring and as an extra layer on colder days.
At the start of autumn, you can simply wear it as a jacket over a shirt or blouse. When it gets colder, you can wear a thin sweater or turtleneck underneath. And, of course, it's also a lot of fun to just keep it on as part of your outfit while indoors.
How do you wash the TRANQUILLO BERIT IKAT jacket?
It is best to handle EcoVero™ viscose with a little care. Wash BERIT only when truly necessary and always follow the care label inside the jacket.
Wash at a low temperature and on a gentle cycle, preferably inside out and with similar colors. Use a mild detergent, do not overfill the drum, and let the jacket air dry. We would absolutely skip the tumble dryer.
Viscose can temporarily feel a bit stiffer or shrink slightly when wet. Don't panic: gently reshape the jacket and let it dry slowly. The supple texture will return afterwards.
