Is it a skirt? Is it a pair of trousers? They are, in fact, trousers. And that is exactly what makes the ARAIKA so fun. With their wide legs and asymmetrical wrap front, these black trousers have almost the flair of a long skirt, but with all the convenience of trousers.

The ARAIKA features a high waist, lovely wide legs, and hits approximately at the ankles. An extra layer of fabric runs diagonally across the front of the trousers, detailed with two rectangular buckles on the side. The closure is a side zipper. And yes: pockets! Always important.

The black color makes them surprisingly easy to style. Go for a cool, casual look with a chunky wool sweater and flat shoes, or dress them up just as easily with a blouse, turtleneck, or short cardigan.

What are the ARAIKA trousers made of?

• 14% recycled nylon
• 4% elastane

Modal is a cellulose fiber known for its soft and supple feel. The addition of elastane provides a bit of stretch to the fabric. The recycled nylon ensures extra durability and shape retention.

So no, these are not among our fully natural trousers. However, the majority of the fabric consists of TENCEL™ Modal and a portion of the synthetic material is recycled. We prefer to just be upfront about that.

How do the SKFK ARAIKA trousers fit?

The ARAIKA has a wide fit with a high waist. The SKFK model is 1.70 meters tall and wears a size 36. The trousers are ankle-length; how they fit you will naturally depend on your own height.

Since the waist is key to this model, I would focus on that when choosing your size. The wide cut provides plenty of room at the hips.

Which ARAIKA size do I need?

Handy: SKFK provides the actual measurements of these trousers. This is not a general body size chart.

My advice: Measure your waist and compare it to the table. That will give you the best indication for these trousers. Unsure between two sizes? I wouldn't just guess based on your usual size. Taking a moment to measure will save a lot of hassle.

How do you wash trousers made of TENCEL™ Modal?

Always follow the care label inside the trousers. Wash them preferably inside out, with similar colors and a mild detergent. Be mindful of zippers and other sharp elements on clothing washed in the same load. Remove the trousers from the machine immediately after washing and hang to air dry.

Are the ARAIKA culottes or a skort?

They definitely look a bit like both. Officially, they are wide-leg trousers with an asymmetrical wrap, but due to the very wide legs, they can almost look like a skirt when moving. So, if you are looking for black wide-leg trousers, a skort, or culottes with that little something extra, the ARAIKA is a fantastic choice.
