Living Crafts men's cardigan WIM green made of organic cotton and wool
There are items of clothing that only come out of the closet on the weekend. And then there are garments that unnoticed become part of your daily uniform. WIM from Living Crafts clearly belongs to the latter category: a quiet knitted men's cardigan with a full-length zipper, a stand-up collar, and just enough warmth to wear almost all year round.
The cardigan is made of 80% organic cotton and 20% wool. This makes it feel less heavy and woolly than an entirely wool cardigan, while the wool still provides extra warmth. The heather dark green color gives WIM a natural look and combines exceptionally well with denim, dark blue, beige, gray, and brown.

A cardigan without any fuss
WIM has no striking patterns, logos, or sporty contrast stripes. Its strength lies precisely in its simplicity. The zipper runs from the bottom all the way to the top of the collar, allowing you to decide how much warmth and coverage you need.
Wear the zipper open over a T-shirt for a relaxed look or close the cardigan partially over a shirt. On a cold day, the high collar can be closed all the way, forming a pleasant extra layer around the neck. The design has no hood and no visible pockets, keeping the overall look quiet and neat.
The ribbed cuffs at the sleeves and bottom ensure that the cardigan fits well without looking tight. This helps the style keep its shape, even when you zip and unzip it regularly throughout the day.
For work, home, and everything in between
A knitted cardigan with a zipper is easier to adapt to temperature differences than a regular sweater. If it gets warm inside, you unzip it. If you go outside or are sitting in a cool workplace, you zip it back up. You don't have to pull the cardigan over your head to take it on or off.
WIM can be worn, among other things:
- over a T-shirt or long-sleeved shirt;
- over a dress shirt to the office;
- as a middle layer under a winter coat;
- during a cool evening in the spring or autumn;
- at home when a thick sweater feels too warm.
It is a fine-knit cardigan and not a lined jacket. For cold, wet, or windy days, you will need a suitable jacket over it when outdoors.
What does the combination of cotton and wool do?
The majority of the cardigan consists of organic cotton. This gives WIM a smoother and less intensely woolly feel than a 100% wool cardigan. The 20% wool content adds natural insulation and makes the knit warmer than a similar entirely cotton cardigan.
The material mix makes WIM interesting for men who appreciate the warmth of wool but prefer not to wear a heavy or coarse wool cardigan. Because everyone's skin reacts differently, we cannot guarantee that the material will not itch at all. Anyone very sensitive to wool should ideally wear the cardigan over a T-shirt or a long-sleeved dress shirt.
Due to the lack of elastane, the material does not stretch like a sporty sweat cardigan. The knitted material does give a little while being worn, but it is not intended to fit tightly around the chest, arms, or shoulders.
How does the WIM men's cardigan fit?
Living Crafts describes WIM as a regular fit. The cardigan follows the body in a relaxed way, without being an explicit slim fit. In the product photos, the style falls straight along the torso and ends approximately at the hip.
Generally, choose your normal size if you want to wear the cardigan over a T-shirt, thin long-sleeved shirt, or dress shirt. When trying it on, pay particular attention to the shoulders, upper arms, and chest. The zipper should be easy to close without the knit pulling open or stretching horizontally.
Are you between two sizes and do you want to regularly wear a thicker layer underneath? Then the larger size might be more comfortable. If you want to wear the cardigan fittingly over just a T-shirt, your usual size will usually look best.
The color Forest Green
Forest Green is a dark, quiet shade of green. Because of the heathered yarn, the color does not look flat: up close, different nuances of green are visible. In bright daylight, the green becomes more apparent, while indoors it can lean almost toward dark greenish-gray.
The color combines well with dark blue or black trousers, but also with sand, camel, cognac, and a standard pair of blue jeans. A white or ecru-colored T-shirt underneath creates a fresh contrast. A dark dress shirt makes the ensemble more understated.
Please note that colors on a screen may vary. The detailed photos best represent the heathered structure.
Organic cotton and controlled production
The cardigan is made of 80% organic cotton and is GOTS-certified. GOTS sets requirements for the processing of organic fibers and also monitors environmental and social conditions throughout various stages of the production chain.
WIM is produced for Living Crafts by Parvati Fashion in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Living Crafts works with natural materials and has its GOTS products manufactured under controlled conditions.
How to wash WIM without ruining the cardigan
Although the cardigan consists mostly of cotton, the wool determines how carefully it must be washed. Therefore, do not use the regular cotton cycle. According to the care label, hand washing is permitted, and the cardigan must be dried flat.
Wash WIM by hand in cool to lukewarm water and use only a small amount of suitable wool detergent, such as Lanalicious. Ensure the wash and rinse water are approximately the same temperature. Large temperature differences, long soaking, and heavy rubbing can cause the wool fibers to felt or the cardigan to lose its shape.
Do not rub or wring the cardigan. Gently press the water out of the knit and optionally roll it in a clean towel to absorb extra moisture. Then lay it flat in the correct shape to dry. Do not hang a wet knitted cardigan on a hanger, as the weight of the water can stretch the model.
Do not use bleach or fabric softener and never put the cardigan in the dryer. According to the care label, WIM may not be ironed or dry-cleaned. Often, airing it out well is sufficient, and the cardigan does not need to be washed at all.
