How to keep SHANTI looking good
Only wash the overshirt when really necessary. Simply airing it out is often enough. If it does need to go in the washing machine, turn SHANTI inside out and choose a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees. Use a small amount of mild detergent and wash with similar dark colors.
Remove the overshirt from the washing machine immediately after the cycle ends. Otherwise, light wash marks can appear on dark cotton fabrics. Gently pull into shape and hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Ironing is permitted according to the wash label, but the natural structure of hand-woven cotton often looks best without being pressed perfectly smooth.
