Wide, feminine and, above all, very comfortable
LOLA features a high waist with generous front pleats. These pleats provide extra room around the hips and thighs while creating a beautiful, long silhouette. From the hip down, the legs fall loosely and almost straight.
The waistband and pleats give the trousers a smart look, while the wide legs ensure they are wonderfully comfortable. It's the perfect pair of trousers to look polished without having to long for your sweatpants all day. We call that a good compromise.
There are practical side pockets and two patch pockets at the back. The trousers fasten with a button and zip and have belt loops, so you can adjust the waist with a belt if necessary.
How does the LOLA trouser fit?
LOLA has a relaxed, wide fit and is worn high on the waist. In principle, choose your usual size for the fit as intended by KOMODO. When determining your size, pay close attention to the waist: the trousers are meant to fit loosely around the hips and legs.
The KOMODO model is 170 cm tall and wears size 2, comparable to a size 38. The legs are deliberately long and fall generously over the shoes. If you are shorter, there is a chance you may need to have the trousers shortened. Fortunately, the straight hem makes this quite easy.
LOLA is made of 100% cotton and does not contain elastane. The waistband therefore does not stretch like jogging pants. If you are between two sizes, choose the size that fits comfortably around your waist. The corduroy fabric will become more supple with wear, but it will not suddenly turn into elastic.
Long legs, long line
The long, wide legs give LOLA her elegant and modern look. They fall loosely around the legs and visually create a beautiful long line. Wear sneakers or flat shoes for a casual outfit, or combine the trousers with boots for a little extra height.
Do you want to show off the pleat detail and high waist? Wear a cropped cardigan, a fitted sweater or a blouse tucked in. With a longer, loose knit, the look becomes softer and more casual. Both work well. Luckily, LOLA isn't the type of trouser that only works with one specific type of top.
CHESTNUT: chestnut brown with a warm glow
CHESTNUT is a rich chestnut-brown colour with clear rust and copper tones. In bright daylight, the warm orange-red glow is more prominent, while indoors the trousers can look deeper and browner. Thanks to the rib structure, the fabric catches the light differently, giving the colour extra depth.
Combine CHESTNUT with ecru, cream, soft pink, olive green, denim, dark blue or chocolate brown. Even bright colours like cobalt blue and red can look surprisingly good with it. If you want to keep it calm, choose ton-sur-ton with camel, sand and other warm brown tones.
Brown might be a calm base, but this colour is anything but boring. There is simply too much warmth and life in the corduroy for that.
Make it a complete corduroy suit

Wear a simple T-shirt, a fitted turtleneck or a blouse under the HATTIE. The calm base ensures that the colour and texture of the corduroy get all the attention. Of course, you can also wear both items separately. LOLA looks great with sweaters, cardigans and blouses, while the HATTIE is just as easy to style with denim, black or a dress.
With two items, you instantly have multiple outfits. Although the complete set is, of course, very nice. Subtle it isn't, but sometimes that's not what you're looking for.
CHESTNUT or KHAKI?
CHESTNUT is warm and bold, with chestnut, rusty and coppery tones. This colour is wonderful for anyone who loves warm autumn shades.
KHAKI is darker and calmer, sitting somewhere between olive green and brown. An earthy colour that is very easy to combine with neutrals, camel, dark blue and denim.
The fit is the same for both colours. We also have a matching HATTIE jacket for the KHAKI version. The hardest part is therefore not finding a complete set, but deciding which colour you want.
Why corduroy is so lovely
Corduroy is known for its raised ribs, which create its soft surface and recognisable structure. Organic cotton corduroy can feel a bit firmer at first, but it will gradually become more supple with wear and start to conform to your body beautifully.
The fabric is breathable and feels pleasant during the cooler months. LOLA is unlined, so you can also wear her in spring and autumn and on cool summer days. With a warm pair of tights or long underwear underneath, she can easily take you into winter.
Organic cotton and vegan
LOLA is made of 100% organic cotton and is completely vegan. The trousers are produced in a SEDEX-audited factory. SEDEX is a system used to monitor working conditions, health, safety and business practices within the supply chain.
Organic cotton also has an impact, of course. Making, dyeing and transporting a pair of trousers still requires raw materials, water, labour and energy. That is why we think it is at least as important that a garment is sturdy, long-lasting and can be worn in many different ways. Fortunately, LOLA easily passes that wardrobe test.
How to keep LOLA beautiful
Wash the trousers only when really necessary. Often, airing them out is enough. Does LOLA really need to go in the washing machine? Then turn her inside out, close the button and zip, and wash at a maximum of 30 degrees. Preferably choose a gentle or short cycle, use a small amount of mild detergent, and wash with similar colours.
Take LOLA out of the washing machine immediately afterwards, shake her out gently, and pull the trousers into shape. Let them air dry and prefer not to put them in the tumble dryer. This way, the warm colour, long fit and soft rib structure will stay beautiful for longer.
Do you want to iron the trousers? Do so inside out at a low temperature. Do not press the iron hard on the ribs, as this can flatten the corduroy. Often, hanging them while damp is enough to make most wrinkles disappear. Always check the sewn-in care label to be sure.
