A sweater that immediately puts you in a good mood. The KITE STELLA YELLOW is a colourful, striped fairisle sweater made of 100% organic cotton. It feels super soft and is ideal if you love wearing a knitted sweater but prefer not to have wool against your skin.

The warm yellow base is combined with a vibrant mix of green, blue, pink and natural. Colourful? Absolutely. But thanks to the classic fairisle pattern, it is still very easy to combine. The medium-weight jacquard knit gives the sweater a beautiful structure and enough warmth for crisp days.

How does the KITE STELLA sweater fit?

The STELLA has a relatively roomy and long fit. If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size. The sweater has plenty of room around the upper body and drapes smoothly without losing its shape.

I am wearing a size L in the photo. You can see that this size fits nicely and loosely and that the sweater has a nice length. Would you prefer a less loose fit? Then you can comfortably choose a size smaller.

These are the measurements of the sweater itself, not of the body. The chest circumference is measured all the way around. The width from armpit to armpit is half of that, measured while the sweater is lying flat. It is best to compare these measurements with a sweater you already like the fit of.

How I style the STELLA YELLOW

In the photo, I am wearing the sweater with the KITE jeans ZITA. The wide-leg jeans and the colourful sweater together make an outfit that needs nothing else. Just add good shoes and you are ready to go.

STELLA also looks beautiful with green corduroy trousers, dark blue trousers or your favourite jeans. Do you find the sweater a bit too long? Simply tuck the front edge loosely into your trousers. This is an easy way to add more shape to your outfit.

A fairisle sweater without wool

Fairisle sweaters are often made of wool, but this version consists entirely of organic cotton. This makes STELLA very pleasant if you are sensitive to wool, prone to itching, or simply prefer wearing cotton.

Cotton feels different from wool: it is less fuzzy, smoother against the skin, and easy to wear. Meanwhile, the medium-weight knit ensures that this remains a proper sweater and not just a thin cotton shirt.

100% organic cotton and GOTS-certified

The KITE STELLA is made of 100% organic cotton and carries the GOTS label. GOTS sets requirements for the processing of organic fibres and also looks at environmental and social criteria within the production chain.

The sweater is made in a medium-weight ladder-back jacquard knit and is produced in India. The GOTS certification is registered under number IDFL 017862.

How to wash this cotton sweater

  • Wash inside out at a maximum of 30°C
  • Choose a gentle delicate wash cycle
  • Use a mild detergent
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Carefully reshape after washing
  • Dry flat
  • Store folded to maintain its shape

Only wash STELLA when absolutely necessary. Simply airing it out or spot-cleaning a small stain is often enough. This helps the knit and the colours stay beautiful for longer.

En dit is waarom:

Biologisch katoen is een van de zachtste en meest huidvriendelijke materialen die er zijn. Het ademt goed, voelt vertrouwd aan en is makkelijk te wassen. Doordat het geteeld wordt zonder synthetische pesticiden of kunstmest, is het ook eerlijker voor de bodem en voor de mensen die het verbouwen. Biologisch katoen bevat minder chemische resten dan gewoon katoen, wat het extra fijn maakt voor mensen met een gevoelige huid — en zeker voor baby's en kinderen. Het is een materiaal dat je gewoon goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen op lage temperatuur

Was biologisch katoen op maximaal 30 of 40 graden in de machine. Gebruik een fijnwasprogramma voor een langere levensduur.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Vermijd bleekmiddel, dat tast de vezels aan.

Drogen

Haal je kleding DIRECT uit de wasmachine om wasstrepen te voorkomen. Laat het kledingstuk bij voorkeur aan de lucht drogen. Vermijd drogen in de droger, dat doet meer slecht dan goed voor je textielvezel.

Extra verzorging

Katoen is makkelijk te strijken op een middelhoge temperatuur. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg!
