What is FRISTED by Charlotte Mansted?
FRISTED is the knitwear label within the world of HIMALAYA. HIMALAYA has existed since 1977 and is known for sustainable fashion with lots of color, unique patterns, and natural materials. For FRISTED, the emphasis is entirely on fine-knit clothing, color, and unique yarns.
FRISTED was born out of a collaboration with Danish designer Charlotte Mansted, who specializes in knitwear. And it shows: the designs are often relatively simple, while using color, yarn, and small details to create something special.
Why are the FRISTED colors so beautiful?
This is perhaps what we love most about FRISTED. For the mélange colors, different shades are blended into the fibers before the yarn is even spun. This creates not a flat, solid color, but a rich color with all sorts of tiny nuances.
You can see this beautifully in the NOA. Depending on the light, the petrol sometimes looks a bit greener and other times a bit bluer. And then there is that blue-purple trim. Very subtle, but for that very reason, incredibly beautiful.
How does the FRISTED NOA cardigan fit?
NOA fits true to size. So just choose the size you normally wear. The cut is beautifully straight and feminine without being tight against the body.

How do you wash the FRISTED NOA cardigan?
Wash the cardigan at a low temperature and always follow the care label. Avoid using fabric softener and do not put it in the dryer. Let it dry naturally on a clothesline and reshape it slightly after washing. This way, both the fine knit structure and those beautiful colors will stay looking good for as long as possible.
