Regionally made in Germany
FLOMAX produces the collection around Gächingen in the Swabian Jura. The entire production process takes place within a radius of approximately 35 kilometers of the company. This makes this wool hat truly Made in Germany.
How to care for the FAMKE hat
Fortunately, wool does not need to be washed often. Air out the hat regularly after wearing it. You can carefully spot-treat a small stain first.
Is a full wash necessary? Use the wool wash cycle, a low temperature, and a low spin speed. Wash FAMKE with a wool detergent containing lanolin, such as our own LANALICIOUS detergent for wool and silk. A little bit is enough.
After washing, gently pull the hat into shape and let it dry flat. Do not wring, do not place on the radiator, and do not put it in the dryer. You want a warm hat, not a surprisingly small one for a teddy bear.
Remove fuzz with the Gleener
Friction against your hair, scarf, or hood can cause small tufts or pills to form on pure wool. This is part of the material and says nothing negative about the quality.
Use the GLEENER fabric shaver to remove them carefully. Lay the hat flat, choose the appropriate attachment, and move gently over the knit without pressing hard. This way, the colors and patterns will look beautiful for longer.
