Warm legs without an extra pair of trousers
Sometimes a full extra layer under your clothes is just too much, even though your lower legs could use some warmth. That's when leg warmers are ideal. You can easily pull them over your leggings, tights, or trousers and take them off as soon as you are indoors.
Wear TANJA long over your lower legs or let them fall slightly loose and gathered around your ankles. They are wonderful during a walk, while cycling, in a chilly workspace, or simply at home when the floor turns out to be colder than your optimistic bare ankles had anticipated.
Wearing skirts when it gets colder
The TANJA leg warmers are also a great addition under a skirt or dress. Combine them with wool tights or Engel leggings to add an extra layer of warmth exactly where you need it.
And that is actually the beauty of leg warmers: they are practical, but don't have to look purely functional at all. This colorful pair immediately makes a simple winter outfit much more fun.
BURGUNDY STRIPES: a complete color mix
Don't be fooled by the name BURGUNDY STRIPES. In addition to burgundy and rust, the pattern also contains turquoise, blue, green, and natural tones. The various stripes and small jacquard motifs give the leg warmers that recognizable FLOMAX look.
Combine them with dark blue, denim, green, brown, or black when you want the leg warmers to be the eye-catcher. Or, let one of the colors be reflected in your sweater, dress, or coat. Subtle is fine, but it certainly doesn't have to be.
Mix & match with the entire series
We also have a wool cardigan, hat, ear warmers, and wrist warmers in the same BURGUNDY STRIPES pattern. This makes it very easy to combine the TANJA leg warmers with the rest of the series.
A pair of leg warmers with the matching hat already provides a nice coherence. If you also put on the cardigan, wrist warmers, and ear warmers, then you have fully grasped the concept of mix & match. We won't stop you.
Pure organic KBT wool
The leg warmers are made of pure wool from certified organic livestock (KBT). KBT sets requirements for, among other things, animal welfare, feed, and the use of harmful substances.
Wool retains heat well while also being able to absorb and release moisture. As a result, your legs stay pleasantly warm without being trapped in synthetic material.
Regionally made by FLOMAX
FLOMAX produces the collection around Gächingen on the Swabian Jura. The entire production process takes place within a radius of approximately 35 kilometers around the company. This makes the TANJA leg warmers truly Made in Germany.
How to care for wool leg warmers
Air the leg warmers regularly and only wash them when really necessary. Wool has natural self-cleaning properties, which means airing is often sufficient.
Do they need a wash after all? Then use the wool wash program, a low temperature, and a low spin cycle. Wash them with a wool detergent containing lanolin, such as our own LANALICIOUS detergent for wool and silk. A little bit is enough.
Gently pull the leg warmers into shape after washing and let them dry flat. Do not put them in the dryer and do not lay them on the radiator. Warm calves are nice; shrunken leg warmers that only fit your wrists, less so.
Removing lint with the Gleener
Movement and friction against shoes, boots, and clothing can cause small bits of lint or pilling on pure wool. This is inherent to the material and is not a sign of poor quality.
You can carefully remove this with the GLEENER lint shaver. Lay the leg warmers flat, choose the appropriate attachment, and move gently over the fabric without pressing hard. This keeps the knit pattern looking good for longer.
