ENGEL wool-silk camisole with lace for women in black
Some camisoles are meant to be invisible under your clothing. This black ENGEL Natur wool-silk camisole with lace, however, is meant to be seen. Featuring a delicate lace trim along the round neckline and armholes, this camisole looks more like a beautiful top than traditional wool underwear.
The camisole is made of 70% organic merino wool and 30% silk. The fine rib fabric is thin, soft, and supple, fitting the body beautifully. Wear it directly against your skin as a warming base layer, let the lace peek out from under a blouse or cardigan, or simply wear it as a black top on a warm day. It is the kind of garment that adapts remarkably easily to your plans. We love that.

Different from the basic ENGEL camisoles
The well-known basic ENGEL camisoles are designed to disappear discreetly under your clothes. This model does the same job but has a much more dressed-up look thanks to the black lace. The round neckline is finished with a subtle scalloped edge, and the lace also features around the armholes.
Under a loose blouse or a cardigan, you can therefore feel free to let the neckline be visible. In the summer, you can also easily wear the camisole as a top. After all, black goes with almost everything, and the lace provides just enough decoration without turning the camisole into an entirely lacy statement piece.
The camisole itself consists entirely of wool and silk. For elasticity and shape retention, the lace is made of 90% polyamide and 10% elastane.
Wool and silk directly on the skin
Merino wool can retain heat when you are cold while simultaneously helping to wick away moisture and excess heat. As a result, a wool-silk camisole feels less clammy when you start to get warm. The silk makes the fabric smoother, more supple, and, for many people, extra comfortable against the skin.
You can wear this thin quality all year round. In winter, it is a wonderful extra layer under a sweater or dress. During spring and autumn, the camisole helps compensate for temperature fluctuations. And on warmer days, the moisture-regulating effect of wool comes in handy.
Whether wool itches you is a personal matter. Fine merino wool with silk is experienced as soft by many people, but every skin reacts differently. Are you very sensitive to wool? Feel free to come and feel and try on the camisole first.
Which size should you choose?
The wool-silk camisoles from ENGEL have a long, slim, and fitted cut. This is pleasant for an undershirt: it stays tucked into your trousers or skirt more easily and also keeps your lower back covered. Wool-silk is stretchy, but the camisole should not be tight anywhere. Are you between two sizes or do you want to wear it as a visible top? Then usually choose the larger size.

How to wash this wool-silk camisole with lace
Wool does not need to be washed after every wear. First, let the camisole air out by an open window, outside, or in the bathroom. This is better for the wool, the lace, and the lifespan of your camisole.
Is washing necessary after all? Use a wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees, a low spin speed, and a mild wool detergent with lanolin, such as Lanalicious wool detergent. A laundry bag helps protect the lace trim from hooks, zippers, and other garments.
Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener and do not put the camisole in the dryer. Do not wring it out; gently press the water out instead. After washing, gently pull the camisole back into shape while damp and let it dry flat. This keeps both the long fit and the delicate lace trim looking beautiful.
