How to care for a 100% baby alpaca scarf?
Very simple: above all, don't wash it too often. Alpaca barely absorbs odors and usually refreshes itself when you let the scarf air out for a while. Hang it near an open window or outside on a dry day, for instance.
Does the scarf need to be washed? Wash it carefully by hand or use a wool wash program only if the label allows it. Use cold water (maximum 30 degrees Celsius) and a small amount of special detergent for alpaca, such as Washpaca. Because alpaca wool does not naturally contain lanolin, it is best not to use detergent with added lanolin.
Do not wring, do not tumble dry, and do not hang to dry by a single point. Gently press the water out of the scarf, shape it, and let it dry flat.
