APU KUNTUR lined wool BEANIE CALEIDO hat made of 100% alpaca
Wearing a hat because you have to? Not for me. A hat should be warm and also do something fun for your head. And this APU KUNTUR lined wool BEANIE CALEIDO manages that quite well. With its cheerful mix of petrol, pink, orange, blue, and warm brown tones, this is the kind of hat that makes even a grey winter day a little more pleasant.
The outside is made of 100% baby alpaca and the inside is fully lined with 100% organic cotton. This gives you the warmth and luxurious softness of alpaca, while a smooth cotton lining sits against your head and ears. Very nice if you are sensitive to wool or easily bothered by an itchy hat.

Why is there a cotton lining in this wool hat?
Baby alpaca is naturally exceptionally soft, but the organic cotton lining makes this beanie even more comfortable. The cotton feels smooth on the skin and forms a soft layer between your head and the alpaca wool.
The lining also helps prevent the hat from sliding or your hair from rubbing directly against the wool knit. And let's be honest: on a winter day, no one wants a hat that constantly creeps up and decides to reside on the very top of your head.
Because cotton breathes, the hat stays comfortable when you go from outside to inside. The baby alpaca keeps you warm, while the organic cotton lining remains soft and pleasant against the skin.
The cheerful CALEIDO color scheme
The BEANIE CALEIDO is knitted in a refined jacquard pattern with geometric shapes and small alpacas. The colors run in different bands around the hat and together form a motley, yet surprisingly harmonious whole.
Combine the hat with a neutral coat in dark blue, grey, black, camel, or beige and let CALEIDO do the work. But it also looks great with a colored coat. This hat simply doesn't like being invisible.
The model is unisex and can therefore be worn by women and men. In the photos, you can immediately see that the pattern and the fit look a bit different on everyone.
Complete your set with the CALEIDO collection
This lined wool beanie is part of the colorful APU KUNTUR CALEIDO collection. In exactly the same color scheme, we also have the CARA wool scarf made of 100% baby alpaca and the MASI CALEIDO wrist warmers.
The hat is a real eye-catcher on its own, but together with the scarf or wrist warmers, it becomes a very beautiful winter set. All three accessories feature the same colorful jacquard knit with the recognizable small alpaca figures.
You can, of course, choose one piece. Or two. Or just dress yourself up completely as a particularly cheerful winter walk. We understand it all.
What size is the BEANIE CALEIDO?
We only have this hat in size M, as this is the most common size. Size M is suitable for a head circumference of approximately 51 to 57 cm. The sizes are approximate because the fit also depends on the shape of your head and how snugly you like to wear a hat.
Do you want to measure your head circumference? Place a measuring tape around the widest part of your head, about one centimeter above your eyebrows and just above your ears. Do not pull the tape too tight. If you measure between 51 and 57 cm, then size M is likely suitable.
What makes baby alpaca so special?
Baby alpaca belongs to the finest and most luxurious alpaca fibers. The name refers to the fineness of the fiber and does not automatically mean that the wool comes exclusively from young alpacas.
The fibers are light, smooth, and temperature-regulating. They can retain a lot of heat without the hat becoming heavy or stiff. Alpaca does not naturally contain lanolin and is often experienced as pleasant by people who find regular wool itchy.
With this hat, the alpaca also does not come directly against your skin, because the inside is fully lined with organic cotton. That makes the BEANIE CALEIDO a very fine choice for sensitive heads and ears.
Fair Trade made in Cusco, Peru
The APU KUNTUR BEANIE CALEIDO is Fair Trade produced in Cusco, Peru. There is a long tradition of working with alpaca in this region. The knowledge of the material and the knitting techniques is reflected in the detailed pattern and the careful finish.
Due to the combination of high-quality baby alpaca, organic cotton, and good craftsmanship, this is a hat intended to be worn for years. Warm, practical, and cheerful enough to bring out of the closet every winter.
How do you wash a lined alpaca hat?
Fortunately, washing is almost never necessary. Let the hat air out properly after wearing. Alpaca barely absorbs odors and therefore refreshes itself easily.
Is washing necessary? Then wash the hat carefully by hand or only use a wool wash program if the wash label allows it. Use cold water or a maximum of 30 degrees and a small amount of special detergent for alpaca, such as Washpaca. Avoid detergents with added lanolin.
Do not wring and do not put it in the dryer. Gently press the water out of the hat, reshape it, and let it dry flat. Do not use hot water, as the organic cotton lining can shrink because of it.
