Fit and sizing advice

LOIS fits true to size. In principle, choose the size you normally wear. I am wearing a size L in the photos.

The cardigan fits nicely without being tight and has enough room to wear a thin shirt or camisole underneath. If you want to wear a thicker layer underneath or prefer a looser fit, you can consider trying a size up.

Why alpaca is so wonderfully warm

Alpaca wool retains a lot of heat while remaining relatively light. This gives you the coziness of a genuine wool cardigan with LOIS, without it feeling heavy or bulky. It is exactly the kind of cardigan you can wear indoors over a shirt and easily layer under a coat when heading outside.

Alpaca naturally contains no lanolin. This can be pleasant for people who are sensitive or allergic to lanolin, although everyone's skin is different. How soft or itchy you find wool is also personal. If you are very sensitive, we recommend coming by to try it on.

How to care for a pure alpaca cardigan

Do not wash LOIS more often than necessary. You can usually freshen up alpaca by simply airing it out. If washing is necessary, always follow the care label and use a cold or dedicated wool cycle with minimal agitation.

We recommend Washpaca, a special detergent for alpaca without lanolin. Do not use fabric softener, do not wring the cardigan, and do not put it in the tumble dryer. Gently reshape LOIS and let it dry flat. It is best to store the cardigan folded so that the knit does not stretch on a hanger.
