It’s best to store your earrings in a closed box or pouch to keep them looking their best. Has the shine become a bit dull? Don't panic! With a soft cloth and perhaps a little natural soap, you can polish them right up. And that potential greenish tint on your skin? That’s a reaction between copper and skin acids; it's harmless, just clean it with soap and water.
