We cannot say it often enough: holes will appear in pure wool socks. For some faster than for others. It is therefore a foregone conclusion that 100% wool socks will develop holes. For some, it happens faster than for others. My boyfriend, for example, gets holes in his socks quite quickly, while I can wear mine for winters on end. There can be all sorts of reasons for this, even the way you walk, the type of shoes you wear, or whether you wear them with or without slippers. Incidentally, we explicitly advise against wearing them as slippers. That is 1. Dangerous, because wool socks are very slippery and 2.
