We cannot say it often enough: holes will appear in pure wool socks. For some people faster than for others. It is therefore a plain fact that holes appear in 100% wool socks. For some, it happens faster than for others. My boyfriend, for instance, gets holes in his socks quite quickly, while my socks last for winters on end. It can have all sorts of causes, even the way you walk, the type of shoes you wear, or whether you wear them with or without slippers. We explicitly advise against wearing them as slippers. That is 1. Dangerous, because wool socks are super slippery and 2.
