For some it happens sooner than for others. My partner, for example, gets holes in his socks quite quickly, while I wear my socks for entire winters. There can be all kinds of causes, even the way you walk, the type of shoes, or whether you wear them with or without slippers. By the way, it is explicitly our advice not to wear them as slippers. That is 1. Dangerous, because wool socks are very slippery and 2.
