These beautiful socks are the thickest wool socks we have. They only come in solid colors: unfortunately, no patterns for thick-wool-sock lovers. How thick are these socks exactly? Think of old-fashioned wool socks, that kind of thickness, and you're pretty much there. I don't wear them in my shoes myself, but in bed. However, there are plenty of people who do... Personally, I think they are better suited for boots or clogs :-) Unless you buy your winter shoes with plenty of room. In my sneakers, for example, they do fit. But if you are really looking for socks to wear in shoes, I would rather go for the Norwegian socks. Sounds like magic? It isn't... Then ALWAYS use a wool wash program with a wool detergent containing lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash program maintains the same temperature throughout, making the risk of shrinkage very small. Use a wool wash at a low temperature and the lowest possible spin speed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003ePure wool socks wear out! \u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eYours will too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about it... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other \"wool socks\" sold, really do not contain any synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend rotating your socks regularly and buying multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes where your feet don't \"slide\". That significantly accelerates the wearing process. For some, it happens after a few days, while others can wear them for winters.
