These beautiful socks are the thickest wool socks we have. They only come in solid colors: unfortunately, no patterns for thick-wool-sock lovers. Just how thick are these socks? Think of old-fashioned wool socks, and that's about the thickness. I don't wear them in my shoes myself, but in bed. However, there are plenty of people who do... I personally find them more suitable for boots or clogs :-) Unless you buy your winter shoes with plenty of room. They do fit in my sneakers, for example. But if you are really looking for socks to wear in shoes, I would sooner go for the Norwegian socks. That sounds like magic? It isn't... Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, making the chance of shrinkage very small. Wash on a low temperature and with the lowest possible spin speed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003ePure wool socks wear out! \u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eYours too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other \"wool socks\" sold, truly do not contain any synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend rotating your socks regularly and purchasing multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes in which you do not \"slide.\" That significantly accelerates the wear and tear process. For some, it happens after just a few days, and others can wear them for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop, you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs, and darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical spots are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to fray open.
