It is annoying if wool socks get \"bunched up\" because they are too loose. If in doubt, you can always contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic bands, so you don't have to worry about the socks sagging. The elastic does not touch the skin. Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, which makes the chance of shrinkage very small. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase several pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes, in which you do not \"slide\". That accelerates the wear process significantly. For some, it happens after just a few days, and others can last for winters. Check your socks after each wear to see if they have become thin. Typical places are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels.
