How thick are these socks exactly? Think of old-fashioned wool socks, that thickness, and you're pretty much there. I don't wear them in my shoes myself, but in bed. However, there are plenty of people who do... Personally, I find them more suitable for wearing in boots or clogs :-) Unless you buy your winter shoes with plenty of room. In my sneakers, for example, they do fit. But, if you are really looking for socks to wear in shoes, I would sooner go for the Norwegian socks. That sounds like magic? It isn't... Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent containing lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, making the chance of shrinkage very small. Wash on a low temperature and with the lowest possible spin speed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003ePure wool socks wear out! \u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eYours too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other \"wool socks\" sold, really contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool much more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes where your feet don't \"slide.\" That significantly accelerates the wear process. For some it's after just a few days, and others can last for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs, and wooden darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical places are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
