copy-of-wens-kaart-le-fleuriste-a6-van-illu-ster
Greeting card UNDER THE WEATHER A6 by illu-ster

Illu-ster A6 postcard: the kind of card you actually want to keep for yourself

There are cards you buy because you "just need something." And then there are cards that naturally make you feel a little bit happy. These postcards by Illu-ster clearly fall into the latter category. They are sweet, funny, comforting, cheerful, or simply incredibly beautiful to display. On a shelf, next to your bed, by a bouquet of flowers, in a wooden card holder, or just leaning against a stack of books. Small card, big on coziness.

Different illustrations, each with its own story

The cards are created by Saskia Heijmans, the illustrator behind Illu-ster. Saskia creates little stories without words. Images that make you pause and look, because there is always something to discover: a lazy cat on a bed, a greenhouse under the moon, flowers in a vase, someone reading with a cat on their lap, or a card that says exactly: I’m here for you.

That is exactly what we love about these cards. You don’t need to write a whole novel to go with them. Sometimes one image is enough. For a birthday, a thank you, a bit of comfort, a "just because" card, or simply because someone could use a little extra love.

Sustainable paper made from agricultural waste

The postcards are printed on sturdy 295-gram Paperwise paper. This paper is made from 100% recycled agricultural waste. So, not from freshly cut trees, but from leftover material from agriculture. Beautiful, right? The paper has a warm, natural tone and a visible fiber structure, which immediately gives the cards that soft, retro look.

The rounded corners make them look a bit friendlier and more refined. The back is also printed, so it really feels like a proper card, not some flimsy thing that feels pathetic the moment you attach a stamp.

Beautiful to send, even better to display

Of course, these cards are meant to be sent. But honestly? We completely understand if you keep one for yourself. Place it in a card holder, pin it to a rack, or rotate them by the season. The illustrations have such a soft, domestic atmosphere that they work perfectly as little pieces of art.

And that is exactly what Saskia herself considers important: creating products that are so beautiful they get a permanent spot with the recipient. Not a card that disappears into the recycling bin after two days, but one that stays on display because it adds something to the room.

Why we are fans of Illu-ster

At Natur-el, we love creators with a story. And we especially love female local makers who think consciously about materials, production, and packaging. Illu-ster uses minimal packaging, chooses sustainable paper, and creates illustrations that are warm, unique, and relatable. Not polished, not mass-produced, but full of character.

Such a card also makes a lovely little gift. Paired with a book, a bouquet of flowers, a candle holder, a birthday present, or just on its own with a few kind words. Because let’s be honest: a handwritten card is always nicer than a text message with "congrats!!!" and three confetti emojis.

Product specifications

Brand: Illu-ster

Product: postcard / greeting card

Size: A6, 10.5 x 14.8 cm

Paper: 295-gram Paperwise paper

Material: 100% recycled paper from agricultural waste

Finish: rounded corners, warm natural tone, and visible fiber structure

Variants: available with various illustrations

Extra fun: for sending as well as for displaying at home

Frequently asked questions about these postcards

What is Paperwise paper?
Paperwise paper is made from agricultural waste.
